• Tree questions: A question entered in the Family Tree search, the selected language, and any relevant person identifier are sent to our server to generate an answer.
• Location information: If you use a location feature and grant permission, we may store latitude, longitude, and the associated IP address.
• Information you send us: If you contact us, we may process details you provide, such as your name, email address, and message.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate the website and Tree app, answer historical and genealogy questions, remember your language, maintain security, diagnose problems, improve the service, and respond to your messages.

3. Cookies and browser storage

We may use an essential session cookie and a language-preference cookie. You can remove these through your browser settings; doing so may require you to select your language again.

4. Third-party services

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts and may load YouTube content when you open a video. Those providers may receive your IP address and browser or device information, and their own privacy policies govern their processing.
